The brand Nokia came back to life when HMD Global decided to take over the rights to build the smartphones. This time, they were android and since then, Nokia has launched the following android phones.
and Nokia has now launched it’s successor to its 7 series. Yes! Nokia 7.1 has been launched in India and let’s talk about it in full detail.
Talking about the display, Nokia 7.1 comes with 5.84′ IPS LCD Panel with a resolution of 1080×2280 with an aspect ratio of 2.111:1 and covers 80.15% of the display area. Yet again, it’s a notch display.
But, it comes with a huge chin with Nokia branding on it!
Wait, wasn’t notches supposed to eliminate the need of top and bottom chins?
Moving on, the SoC used here is a Snapdragon 636 which is an Octa-Core chip with 2 sets of Kyro 260 clocked at 1.8GHz and 1.6Ghz respectively. The Android OS being Android One based 8.1,9.0. The GPU is handled by Qualcomm Adreno 509. The Ram and Storage configurations are as follows
Coming to the camera, it comes with a Dual-12 MP Primary Camera and an 8MP Front Camera. It comes with a 3060 Mah Li-Poly ion battery. Nokia 7.1 comes with a USB Type C port replacing the default micro USB ports. Most of the sensors are present on the device and also a headphone jack is present on the device. It comes in two colors Blue and Grey. Nokia 7.1 comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner placed below the cameras.
One special point about the cameras is the Carl-Zeiss Optics used in making them. It might improve the image quality but we can’t give our opinion without a full review.
Now, coming to the Price:
The pricing announced is ₹19,999/- and is now available to pre-order on Nokia’s website.
But, we are a bit skeptical because smartphones like ASUS Zenfone Max Pro 1 come with nearly same specifications and a bigger 6′ IPS LCD Panel without a notch and 5000 MaH for ₹10,000/-
We don’t really think this will a bang for buck smartphone as there are many other phones which sell with same specifications at nearly half the price.
But, if you want to pre-order the phone, then down below is the link.
